Accounting Clerk
The French Institute is a non for profit organization whose purpose is to promote the French educational programme, French classes and exams for every type of audience, organize exhibitions, conferences and general circulation of French Culture in Northern Greece.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified graduate of higher education (AEI-TEI) and experienced Accounting clerks (a minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting is mandatory. Experience in a School or any other Educational structure will be valued).
The Accounting clerk’s responsibilities:
-Monitoring daily accounts operation
-Processing Bank’s journal entries, purchases, accounts receivables in both French and Greek software
-Managing expenses, preparing the accounts payables and processing the payments
-Following up the clients’ and debtors’ accounts, accounting reconciliations
-Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly and annual closure
-Getting quotations and handling with suppliers
-Administrative follow-up and documents requested by Greek authorities
-Classification and archive of all the accounting documents
The successful applicant will need to be organized and proactive and have the capacity to work co-operatively within a school environment.
The ability to speak English at a fluent level is a prerequisite; the ability to speak French would be a real asset.
This is a full time position for 10-11 months with a start on 26 August 2019.
